Yellow Springs Chamber Unveils Vibrant Wayfinding and Visibility Initiative

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Yellow Springs, OH – The Yellow Springs Chamber of Commerce is proud to unveil a bold new initiative aimed at enhancing local economic development through improved visibility, digital access, and community engagement. With newly designed wayfinding signage, refreshed imagery, and QR code integration, this village-wide update is making it easier than ever for people to discover everything Yellow Springs has to offer- from shopping and dining to health & wellness, arts, and live music.

As part of the rollout, new rack cards have been created to replace the former Visitor Guides and are now available for distribution throughout the business community and with YS Chamber organizational partners. This new implementation not only reduces expenses and workload but also increases access to maps, guides, and local organizations that previously had to be sourced separately.

This effort represents a progressive leap forward in how the community connects with its economic and cultural assets. The updated signage now highlights categories of destinations rather than specific businesses, aligning with how people today search for things to do and places to go. Whether you’re spending the day in Yellow Springs or have lived here for decades, the experience has become more intuitive, more connected, and more reflective of the vibrant spirit of the village.

“Awareness fuels economic growth. This isn’t just about tourismit’s about helping our own community rediscover the excitement of what is right here. We’re putting ‘home’ in the palm of your hand.”  Phillip O’Rourke, Executive Director, Yellow Springs Chamber of Commerce.

Each sign features a colorful, community-inspired design and a QR code linking directly to the yellowspringsohio.org “Things-To-Do” page. With one simple scan, users can access information updated by businesses and organizations about, events, and experiences throughout Yellow Springs – literally placing the village in the palm of their hands.

At its core, this initiative is about fostering economic vitality while enhancing quality of life. By connecting people more directly to the resources, shops, and stories that make Yellow Springs special, the Chamber is helping keep the village not only current – but thriving.
